Our primary mission is the historical preservation of our nation’s Civil War history and to honor our ancestors who fought, and died, during the Civil War. We re-enact the life and times of the typical North Carolina citizen-solider of the historical period covered by 1858-1865. We also reenact as a CSMC detachment assigned to the CSS Albemarle based out of Plymouth NC. In pursuit of this goal, Co F and the CSMC detachment participates yearly in a number of battle reenactments, education forums, and living history demonstrations. Co F and the CSMC detachment is under the command of Captain Mark Trail, both units are based out of New Bern North Carolina. To correctly portray the history of the period, these reenactments not only include battle scenarios with infantry, artillery, and cavalry, but also with men, women, and children portraying civilians during the era as well.
